Palestinian prisoners warn jailers: We are so close to confrontation
Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons who will undergo a hunger strike publish an audio clip of their will before their battle.
With the blessed month of Ramadan approaching, the Palestinian National Captive Movement in Israeli occupation prisons published the will of the prisoners who will undergo a hunger strike in rejection of the ongoing repressive measures practiced against them.
The prisoners called on Palestinians to support them in their next battle, adding, "We are standing on the cusp of the defining confrontation. Free us while we are alive before you free us to the mortuary."
They also underlined that they will pursue their steps until they break their chains.
The prisoners continued to say that "after we found ourselves alone facing death and oblivion, being besieged prisoners facing a jailer, neglect, and the colonial fangs of Ben-Gvir," they decided to take action and rebel.
On its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs considered in a statement that prisoners writing their wills confirms the strength of their persistence, their iron determination to follow these steps "until their last breath," and their readiness for further sacrifice within the framework of preserving the rights of prisoners and upholding their right to freedom.
The Ministry also renewed its appeal to every Palestinian to take action "at a level befitting the sacrifices and suffering of the prisoners," work under a comprehensive and unified vision, and activate all tools of pressure on the Israeli occupation in order to ensure the success of the prisoners' battle and the fulfillment of their demands.
On Saturday, the Supreme Emergency Committee of the National Captive Movement confirmed that the hunger strike has become the most likely option for the prisoners to confront the Israeli jailer.
Among the punitive measures taken by Ben-Gvir against the prisoners are limiting the amount of water in the prisoners' quarters, cutting off their hot water, placing locks on the bathrooms designated for showering, restricting access to showers, and reducing the time designated for showering.
Last month, the Palestinian prisoners sent a message from inside the occupation prisons, in which they called for preparations for a major battle against the oppression of Israeli occupation Police Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
