The incursions into the West Bank, which have been more aggressive since October 7, are being confronted by local Palestinians who have increasingly mobilized and joined the ranks of Resistance factions across the cities, camps, and neighborhoods.
On Saturday, the IOF stormed the Dheisheh camp in Beit Lahm and the villages of Beit Tamar and al-Arouj for an extended period lasting hours, raiding and vandalizing Palestinian homes and detaining several Palestinians.
At the time, many IOF vehicles and a bulldozer stormed the Balata refugee camp in Nablus, triggering violent confrontations with the Palestinian Resistance with the Israeli forces coming under attack with high-explosive devices, according to an Al Mayadeen source.
In addition, the IOF stormed Tubas in the northern West Bank with several vehicles, according to local sources, deploying troops in several neighborhoods and raiding several Palestinian homes. In Tubas and several other areas in the city, the IOF planted snipers on rooftops and fired live bullets and stun grenades amid violent confrontations.
Palestinian media reported that in Jenin, two Palestinian youths from the town of Ya'bad were transferred to the hospital due to severe assault by the IOF during their detention on Friday.
The big picture
Since the launch of the war on Gaza in October 2023, the West Bank witnessed a steep rise in Israeli aggressions, with attacks being carried out on a daily basis, and in some instances lasting for several consecutive days targeting a certain area. The raids included the arrest of at least 6,500 Palestinians and the martyrdom of more than 500, including targeted assassinations of Resistance fighters and leaders.
Meanwhile, Palestinian Resistance groups continue to fiercely confront IOF incursions relentlessly, leaving "Tel Aviv" fearing a third Intifada and prompting it to significantly increase the number of soldiers conducting the aggressions.
The introduction of locally-made IEDs by the Resistance, especially targeting Israeli bulldozers destroying the infrastructure of stormed areas, has also raised concerns in "Israel" of the Resistance utilizing new tools to repel attacks.
