Palestinian Resistance eliminate Israeli officer, injure 16 soldiers
In an attack against an Israeli unit in Khan Younis, al-Qassam fighters killed an Israeli occupation officer and injured 16 others, six of whom were in critical condition.
The Israeli occupation military revealed that one of its officers was killed in confrontations against the Palestinian Resistance in Khan Younis, while 16 Israeli soldiers were injured, six of whom were in critical condition.
Under the "permitted to be published" clause, Israeli media announced that the officer belonged to the "Egoz" unit, which operates under the "Commandos" special forces.
Israeli media also described the clash as "a difficult battle", detailing that Resistance fighters engaged the unit's soldiers using an RPG, targeting a building where they had been stationed, in the al-Amal neighborhood, near Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.

A complex rescue mission was reportedly launched, led by the Israeli "669" unit which cooperated with helicopters from the Israeli airforce, to transport the wounded to a hospital, nearly an hour following the blast.
Following the battle against the Israeli troops, the al-Qassam military fighters ambushed another Israeli unit made up of six soldiers, resulting in casualties between killed and wounded.
The IOF declared on Thursday that one of its troops was killed and another seriously injured amid confrontations in the south of Gaza.
On March 27, the Israeli occupation forces also announced the death of a sergeant from the Givati Brigade and the wounding of 22 IOF troops in battles with the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza.
Israeli media outlets pointed out that the number of casualties equates to an entire brigade of the Israeli military, which consists of 11 regular and active brigades. The extreme reduction in manpower has had clear effects on the Israeli military's structure, as officials have called for at least 14,500 new recruits. The events have also forced further dependence on reserve brigades, costing the Israeli occupation treasury large sums to maintain.
It is worth noting that thousands of casualties among Israeli troops go unreported when treated in field hospitals.
