The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that its fighters successfully ambushed an Israeli occupation force along with its military vehicles on Saturday, luring them into a minefield near the al-Mansoura sports stadium in the southern part of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.
The Palestinian Resistance faction reported that its fighters monitored the Israeli forces retrieving dead and wounded soldiers and towing away damaged vehicles amid intense suppressive fire in Gaza's al-Zaytoun district.
Additionally, the al-Qassam Brigades published video clips from their "Stones of David" operations, documenting attacks on Israeli forces and armored vehicles, along with mortar strikes on military concentrations in Jabalia al-Balad, northern Gaza.
Al-Quds Brigades seizes reconnaissance drone in Shujaiyya
Meanwhile, the al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, stated that its fighters targeted an Israeli military command post inside Al-Furqan School in southeastern al-Zaytoun, Gaza City, with mortar rounds.
In a separate operation, the al-Quds Brigades fighters managed to seize control of an Israeli reconnaissance drone while it was carrying out intelligence-gathering missions over Gaza City's al-Shujaiyya neighborhood.
On its part, the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades - Al-Amoudi Brigade announced that it had targeted an Israeli occupation command-and-control headquarters north of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip with a rocket barrage using 107mm rockets and mortar shells.
Palestinian Resistance shifts tactics
The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported, citing a military source, that the Israeli army has observed a significant evolution in the combat tactics of Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades in Gaza. According to the source, the militant fighters have grown more tactically organized and are demonstrating unprecedented boldness in direct confrontations with Israeli forces.
"Unlike what happened in Beit Hanoun a few weeks ago, we're now seeing militants rigging roads with mines and carrying out multiple anti-tank missile attacks against our forces," the source noted.
In late July, Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades issued a defiant declaration pledging to wage an extended war of attrition against Israeli troops across the Gaza Strip, warning that they would deploy new and unexpected combat tactics spanning the entire territory from Beit Hanoun in the north to Rafah in the south.
