The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that 3 Palestinians were injured by live bullet rounds and 10 by rubber bullets during attacks on the towns of Barqa and Bazaria, north of Nablus on Saturday.

Ghassan Daghlas, the official responsible for the settlement file in the northern West Bank, stated that the occupation forces closed the main entrance to Barqa, amid clashes with young men and heavy firing of bullets and tear gas, which led to dozens of civilians suffocating.

He reported that the entrance to the town of Bazaria is also witnessing confrontations in an attempt to stop a march by settlers towards the evacuated "Homesh" settlement.

Earlier in the day, the occupation forces blocked main roads between Nablus and Jenin in the northeast occupied West Bank, in preparation for a night march that settlers intend to organize towards the settlement of "Homesh".

Palestinian vehicles were prevented from passing in both directions. The occupation forces also sent military reinforcements to the "Homesh" settlement to secure the settlers' march.

Palestinian factions have called lately for a day of protest in the town of Barqa, northwest of Nablus, in protest of the advancement of settlers and to repel their attacks.

Last Thursday, thousands of settlers organized a march to the "Homesh" settlement and launched several attacks on homes and properties in the town of Barqa.

Israeli media reported Thursday that one settler was killed and two others were wounded in an alleged shooting attack at the entrance to the “Homesh” settlement, an Israeli-occupied Palestinian land in the West Bank.

Dozens of Palestinians injured in confrontations in Nablus

Last Friday, Israeli settlers attacked several citizens in their homes in the village of Qaryut, south of Nablus. In addition, settlers destroyed a number of vehicles near the entrance of the town of Sebastia, north of Nablus.

Dozens of Palestinians were injured during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces and settler groups that attacked several villages in Nablus in the northern West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that dozens of Palestinians were injured by rubber bullets and tear gas during the confrontations.

The Red Crescent said its crews provided aid to more than 60 Palestinians during the confrontations with the occupation.
