On Tuesday, the Pentagon reported 56 incidents of targets on US troops in Iraq and Syria since October 17.

Sabrina Singh, the Deputy Press Secretary of the Pentagon, informed journalists that out of the 59 US personnel who sustained injuries, 32 were categorized with non-serious injuries, while the remaining 27 individuals suffered from traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Last week, in response to American aggression, the Yemeni Armed Forces shot down a US MQ-9 Reaper drone near the Yemeni Coast. The drone was reportedly surveilling Yemen when the Yemeni Armed Forces shot it down, estimated to cost about $30 million.

Since the drone was shot down, the US has not responded, and the Yemeni Armed Forces have threatened to act against Israeli ships in the Red Sea.

Singh was questioned by a reporter regarding the absence of a response from the US military and whether this silence was encouraging further assertive actions from the Yemeni Armed Forces.

"I wouldn’t say that it’s inviting more aggressive or further response from the Houthis. We’ve seen the Houthis do this before," Singh said, adding "We’ve seen one of our MQ-9s shot down before in the past. I’m not saying that we’re not going to respond. We always reserve the right to respond at a time and place of our choosing."

Latest target

Earlier on Monday, loud explosions were heard in Deir Ezzor, Syria, originating from the United States occupation base in al-Omar oil field, sources informed on the matter told Al Mayadeen.

This was the fifth time the occupation base was targeted in a span of 24 hours.

Sources told Al Mayadeen, that six rockets launched by the Resistance hit the al-Omar oil field base, but the sources did not disclose any information regarding the damage caused by the attack.

On the same day, the US airbase in Kharab al-Jir, in al-Hasaka, was targeted via an attack drone. US aircraft took off from the airbase following the attack, according to Sputnik citing an unnamed military source.

These events come after several attacks were launched on US occupation bases on Sunday night, where sources to Al Mayadeen revealed that a rocket attack targeted the US occupation Conico base in northeastern Syria.
