PIJ Al-Quds Brigades raise level of readiness until further notice
The Quds Brigades have issued a statement.
The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, issued today, Saturday, executive orders to its forces.
In a statement, the brigade ordered all forces operating on the field to raise the level of readiness according to prepared plans until further notice.
No de-escalation in Gaza now, ready to continue battle
The head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's media office, Daoud Shehab, confirmed Saturday that there is no talk about any de-escalation at the present time.
"Our highest priority now is to resist the occupation, confront the aggression, and respond to this terrorism and these attacks against our people," Shehab said, stressing the PIJ's readiness to "continue the battle," adding that it "will create a real state of attrition within the enemy's ranks."
Shehab pointed out that "Israel has failed and will neither achieve security for its settlers nor be able to end the predicament of the settlers, who moved from the 4-day curfew, caused by the state of alert Al-Quds Brigades announced, to the shelters due to the Al-Quds Brigades' missiles."
He stressed that the movement will continue to operate in the West Bank, "despite the arrests launched by the occupation forces last night against our cadres and our resistant fighters."
On Saturday, the Israeli occupation forces announced the arrest of 19 members of the Islamic Jihad movement in the West Bank.
Shehab told Al Mayadeen on Friday that what is happening in Gaza is an "aggressive and treacherous war targeting the Palestinian people," and stressed that the Palestinian resistance "will confront it with all strength and steadfastness."
The Al-Quds Brigades began the retaliation process against the Israeli occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip, by launching rockets toward the occupied Palestinian territories and more than 100 rockets into Israeli cities, including "Tel Aviv."
