No de-escalation in Gaza now, ready to continue battle - PIJ official

"Our highest priority now is to resist the occupation, confront the aggression, and respond to this terrorism and these attacks against our people," Shehab said, stressing the PIJ's readiness to "continue the battle," adding that it "will create a real state of attrition within the enemy's ranks."
Shehab pointed out that "Israel has failed and will neither achieve security for its settlers nor be able to end the predicament of the settlers, who moved from the 4-day curfew, caused by the state of alert Al-Quds Brigades announced, to the shelters due to the Al-Quds Brigades' missiles."
He stressed that the movement will continue to operate in the West Bank, "despite the arrests launched by the occupation forces last night against our cadres and our resistant fighters."
On Saturday, the Israeli occupation forces announced the arrest of 19 members of the Islamic Jihad movement in the West Bank.
Shehab told Al Mayadeen on Friday that what is happening in Gaza is an "aggressive and treacherous war targeting the Palestinian people," and stressed that the Palestinian resistance "will confront it with all strength and steadfastness."
