Lebanese Resistance mourns Gaza martyrs
The Lebanese Resistance expresses its condolences to the families of the martyrs of the Israeli attack on Gaza and stresses its support for the oppressed Palestinian people and their courageous resistance to liberate their land and their prisoners.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, Hezbollah, offered its deepest condolences, on Friday, to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) for the martyrdom of one of their leaders, commander of Gaza's northern region, Taiseer Al-Jabari, and a number of his companions.
Hezbollah said, in a statement, that the Palestinian people, who offered great sacrifices over the years through their resistance, "will not be weakened by this heinous and treacherous Israeli crime," noting that this crime will solidify "the Palestinian people's resolve to continue the path [of resistance] until victory and liberation are achieved."
Hezbollah praised the solidarity of all Palestinian resistance factions in the face of this crime, stressing its permanent support for the oppressed Palestinian people and their courageous resistance to liberate their land and their prisoners.
The statement further continued, "We openly express support for all the steps taken by the leadership of the PIJ to respond to the aggression and its continuing crimes."
Earlier today, the spokesperson of the Israeli occupation forces announced the beginning of a military operation against the PIJ in the Gaza Strip. Additionally, Israeli media pointed out that there was a call for the settlers of the Gaza envelope to stay close to shelters, for fear of a response from the Palestinian resistance.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement (PIJ) as well as its military wing, Al-Quds Brigades, mourned a group of Palestinians who were martyred in the latest raids on Gaza, most significantly the Commander Taiseer Al-Jabari.
The PIJ Movement statement said, "This treacherous Zionist crime came to impede mediation efforts and efforts to end the state of tension that exists following the brutal attack on Sheikh Bassam Al-Saadi and his family in Jenin."
In turn, the Joint Chamber of the Palestinian Resistance Factions also mourned the martyred commander Taiseer Al-Jabari.
Furthermore, the Joint Chamber said in a statement, "As we mourn the martyr, the great leader, the commander of the northern region in the Al-Quds Brigades, Taiseer Al-Jabari (Abu Mahmoud) and his martyred brothers, we hold the Zionist enemy fully responsible for this aggression, and by doing this he miscalculates."
