Israeli media: PIJ threats must be taken seriously
Israeli media says the Gaza envelope is witnessing tensions following the arrest of Islamic Jihad leader Bassam Al-Saadi.
Israeli media reported the comments of some Israeli analysts on the continuation of tension in the Gaza border area and the fear of an Islamic Jihad (PIJ) response over the Israeli occupation forces' arrest of the movement's official, Bassam Al-Saadi.
Israeli Channel 13 said the Gaza envelope is witnessing tensions following the arrest of Al-Saadi.
The channel pointed out that some central roads are still blocked in conjunction with the continuation of the PIJ's threatening discourse in response to the brutal arrest of Al-Saadi.
According to the channel, shop owners in the Gaza envelope are angry due to the restrictions imposed by the occupation, describing the current curfew as the longest without a fight.
A guest of the Israeli channel said the PIJ is determined to carry out an operation against an Israeli target, and "Israel" is determined not to allow this.
The guest considered that the most affected is "the population that has been suffering for more than 48 hours."
The guest said the PIJ currently has the upper hand and sees that "Israel" is afraid of it, noting that "Israel" has tried over the years to drive Gaza and the West Bank apart, but what is happening now is the opposite.

PIJ won by interrupting daily routine
On his part, Tzipi Yehezkeli, Arab affairs analyst at Channel 13, considered that the PIJ has won this round, doubting that the measures taken against the Islamic Jihad by interrupting the daily routine inside "Israel" will do any good.
Yehezkeli believed that the PIJ has achieved what it wants, as "Israel" is afraid of the missile that will be launched, pointing out that "Israel" was too hysterical and afraid in this regard.
"Do we want calm for a day or deterrence for years? Sometimes we take steps to buy calm, but we lose in terms of deterrence," the Israeli analyst said.
On the other hand, Yaakov Amidror, reserve major general and former head of the National Security Council of "Israel", underlined that it must be taken into account that the PIJ will try to take revenge, adding that the measures are an appropriate way to prevent harm on the citizens.
Amidror claimed that the price of the Israeli measures is very low, while the price of error would be very high.
Israelis take PIJ threats seriously
Or Heller, the Israeli commentator on Channel 13, said "the scenario the IOF is preparing for in the South (because of Al-Saadi's arrest) is the launch of anti-armor missiles, a Kornet missile with a range of 5 and a half kilometers."
Heller added, "We see that the Israeli army ducks in face of a potential attack by Palestinian Islamic Jihad," adding "this tension will last for the coming days."
Heller claimed that the IOF "Gaza Division" and the "Southern Front" are ready for their part and take very seriously the PIJ revenge threat.
The Israeli correspondent warned that the PIJ considers that it is very difficult for "Israel" and the IOF to manage a deterrence equation against it.
IOF kidnaps and injures Al-Saadi
Two days ago, special units of the Israeli occupation stormed the house of the PIJ official Bassam Al-Saadi and arrested him and his brother-in-law Ashraf Al-Jadaa in his home in the Jenin camp after assaulting them and took them to an unknown destination.
Ezz El-Din Al-Saadi, the son of the PIJ official, said that his father "was injured during the storming."
The Palestinian Resistance factions warned the occupation against harming Al-Saadi's life, declaring alertness and stepping up the readiness of the operating combat units, especially since the blood in the house of Sheikh Al-Saadi confirms he was injured before he was kidnapped.
Israeli media spoke about "fear of escalation after the arrest of Bassam Al-Saadi," stressing that "the Israeli army arrested Al-Saadi, who was taken wounded, and reports say he was seriously injured in his stomach."
The military correspondent of the Israeli occupation forces radio said there is an "extraordinary alert in the Gaza area, at a scale that we have not seen since 'Operation Guardian of the Walls'."
