  • PIJ Deputy Chief: Biden's remarks greenlit Israeli war crimes.
Mohammad al-Hindi, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) speaks during an exclusive interview with Al Mayadeen TV, Beirut, Lebanon, July 25, 2023.

The Resistance cannot be uprooted since it is embedded within the lives of the Palestinian people, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), Mohammad al-Hindi, told Al Mayadeen.

The PIJ official revealed that most of the captives held in Gaza are soldiers, adding that the captive's file "has many complications" and that these issues "will not be discussed before the (Israeli aggression on Gaza) ends."

Blood thirsty West spurs Israeli war crimes

In response to the United States President Joe Biden's assertion that the bombing of al-Ahli Baptist Hospital was committed by the Palestinian Resistance, al-Hindi said that the president "adopted the Israeli rhetoric for the [start] and began to spread it."

He emphasized that this is not only "Israel's" battle but it is the "battle of the West led by Biden," against the Palestinian people.

Al-Hindi pointed to the way the West came to the rescue of "Israel" after it received a heavy blow on October 7, adding that the West has concentrated its efforts on Gaza as a gateway to "change the face of the entire Middle East."

The official drew a comparison between the West's mobilization in Gaza and what had happened in Iraq.

"They destroyed Iraq using a lie. The West's history is based on violence and the genocide of people in order to achieve a nation's interests."

Moreover, the official highlighted Biden's remarks after meeting the Israeli war cabinet headed by Benjamin Netanyahu. For al-Hindi, the US President's address means that he has greenlit further Israeli war crimes against the Palestinian people.

Forced displacement to Sinai

Amid increasing talks regarding the forced displacement of Gazans to Sinai, al-Hindi said that the greatest threat lies on Palestinians in the West Bank who are at the heart of the Zionist project."

The official also commended Egyptian President  Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who said that the displacement of Gazans to Sinai is a threat to the region and Egyptian national security. He added that the Gaza Strip acts as a buffer for Egypt which offers it protection.

Finally, the Deputy Secretary-General of the PIJ reaffirmed that the Resistance remains steadfast, adding that the Israeli crimes will only increase its persistence and cohesion on the battlefield.

"Israel" fails on the battlefield; targets civilians

Over 70% of the victims of the Israeli aggression on Gaza have been women, children, and elderly, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Wednesday.

Health Ministry spokesperson Ashraf Al-Qudra said during a press conference in which he was addressing the repercussions of the Israeli aggression that the massacres being committed by the Israeli occupation amount to ethnic cleansing and pose an existential threat to the Palestinian people.

The Israeli occupation getting to a stage wherein it is  starting to target hospitals and dare to commit an indescribable massacre in al-Maamadani Baptist Hospital is "a grave threat to the health sector."

"The tally of the massacre committed by the criminal Israeli occupation in al-Maamadani hospital rose up to 471 martyrs, with 314 others wounded, 28 of whom are in critical condition," the Ministry of Health official said.

Meanwhile, he revealed that the total number of casualties resulting from the Israeli aggression that has been ongoing for 12 consecutive days was 3,478 martyred and 12,065 others wounded.

The massacres committed by the Israeli occupation against families affected 433 families, of which 2,421 members have been martyred, while hundreds of others are still under the rubble.
