PIJ holds military march in Gaza commemorating 'Unity of Battlefields'
The march coincides with the anniversary of the battle Unity of Battlefields and the martyrdom of Khaled Mansour.
Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), conducted a military march to commemorate the battle of Unity of Battlefields launched in August 2022.
The event coincided with the anniversary of the martyrdom of Palestinian Resistance leader Khaled Mansour and took place in the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip.
Marching through the streets, the resolute fighters of the Brigades brandished their assault rifles and rocket-propelled grenade launchers, boldly trampling upon a flag of the Israeli occupation. They were enveloped by local residents and raised their hands holding up victory signs.
In a speech, the Resistance group reaffirmed that it will continue its struggle against the Israeli occupation "with strength and wisdom" until Palestine is liberated.

Al-Quds Brigades stressed that it will continue to offer sacrifices to that end across all fronts in Palestine, including the West Bank and Gaza.
The group also called on the security agencies of the Palestinian Authority to refrain from arresting and pursuing Resistance fighters in the West Bank, urging it to release the fighters that it holds captive in its prisons.
The Brigades said its weapons will continue to be pointed at the Israeli occupation and that its objective of liberating Palestine will not deviate.

The group hailed the Palestinians residing in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and the occupied Palestinian territories of 1948, as well as Palestinian refugees in Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan.
The battle dubbed Unity of the Battlefields came in response to several aerial assassinations committed by the Israeli occupation against leaders and fighters of the PIJ in the Gaza Strip. During this round of confrontations, the group aimed to unite all fronts in Palestine to resist the occupation's assassination campaign in Gaza.
