The Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement (PIJ), Ziyad al-Nakhalah, dismissed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s threats at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), saying such rhetoric is “not new.”
Al-Nakhalah stressed that “the Palestinian people, who have raised the banner of resistance for 100 years, will not be affected by threats and lies.”
He added that Palestinians “will not surrender to criminal killers, nor will they abandon their rights, regardless of the sacrifices.”
His remarks came as dozens of delegations staged a walkout during Netanyahu’s speech at the UNGA in New York, in a display of diplomatic protest against his participation.

Barghouti: Israel faces mounting international isolation
Earlier, the Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative, Mustafa Barghouti, told Al Mayadeen that the events at the UN highlight "Israel’s" deepening isolation on the global stage.
Barghouti described Netanyahu’s address as “full of lies that placed the criminal in the position of the victim,” stressing that “the world is changing, and Israel will become increasingly isolated.”
He concluded that Netanyahu has “dragged Israel into the most isolated moment in its history,” adding that the Israeli leader is “delusional and behaves in a manner resembling Nazi leadership.”
