Benjamin Netanyahu is alone responsible for obstructing any agreement that includes the release of Israeli captives, the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas announced, citing his insistence on resuming the aggression and shattering the January deal, as well as his latest failed attempt at assassinating the negotiating delegation in Doha, Qatar.
Hamas further commented on Netanyahu's speech at the General Assembly, noting the withdrawal of most delegations as a reflection of the growing isolation surrounding Netanyahu and his entity, and emphasizing how he was facing a near-empty hall.
At the same time, Hamas condemned his participation, blasting it as "ironic for a war criminal, wanted by the ICC, to be allowed to lecture on justice and humanity, while he violates them daily in the Gaza Strip."
The statement stressed that Netanyahu’s “repeated lies and blatant denial of the crimes of genocide and systematic starvation against our people in Gaza will not change the facts documented by UN and international reports.”
The movement said Netanyahu’s justification that Resistance fighters are present in targeted civilian buildings is “nothing more than a cover to conceal war crimes against children and civilians.”
Debunking Netanyahu's claims
The Resistance group also vehemently rejected Netanyahu’s continued references to October 7, slamming as “black propaganda and lies” meant to mislead global opinion, arguing that this narrative had already “collapsed in the face of world public opinion.”
The statement further criticized Netanyahu’s use of the term anti-Semitism as a “worn-out excuse to justify his crimes.”
Dismissing Netanyahu’s claims that the Resistance group seeks to kill Jews worldwide, Hamas said the allegations are “part of a systematic campaign to demonize the Palestinian people and their national resistance.”
It affirmed that its struggle “is limited to the occupation of Palestine and its holy sites until self-determination is achieved.”
In response to Netanyahu’s declaration that he intends to control Gaza and install a “puppet government,” Hamas said such a plan is “a pure illusion that will not be realized and will not be allowed by our Palestinian people.”
Struggle until liberation
Hamas concluded by stressing that “the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital is an inalienable right that cannot be taken away by the crimes of the occupier.”
It reaffirmed that the Palestinian people “remain attached to their land and will continue on the path of liberation and return until the establishment of their independent state with al-Quds as its capital.”
