PIJ says Israeli captives to only return if Palestinians released
The spokesperson for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza underlines that the Israeli occupation must release Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the captives held in Gaza.
The captured Israeli settlers will not return except in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, the spokesperson for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement in the Gaza Strip, Musab al-Breim, said on Monday.
The families of dozens of captured Israeli settlers and missing persons protested on Sunday outside the Israeli security ministry in "Tel Aviv" in light of government inaction.
The settlers, demanding the resignation of Netanyahu's cabinet, want the Israeli government to move and return the captured settlers as hundreds remain with the Palestinian Resistance.
This comes after dozens of Israeli settlers and foreigners perished during the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip as the Israeli occupation forces continued to shell the Strip indiscriminately without taking into consideration the location of its settlers.
The most recent fatalities caused by Israeli bombardment increased the total death toll to 22 out of at least 150 hostages, including Israelis, foreigners, and individuals with dual nationality, who were taken captive by Resistance fighters on October 7.
Al-Breim underlined that in light of talks about a ceasefire agreement with the Israeli occupation, the Resistance's priority at the moment is to retaliate against the Israeli occupation's aggression.
The spokesperson for the Islamic Jihad Movement responded to the Israeli entity's threats of a ground invasion of the Gaza Strip, affirming that if "the occupier dares to launch a ground invasion, the resistance fighters will be awaiting it."
The battle continues on all levels, both on the popular front and the battleground, he said, with the Resistance persistently targeting the Israeli occupation forces and settlers.
Al-Breim said the policy of destruction pursued by the occupier in its ongoing hostilities against the Gaza Strip since they started on October 7 "will not break the resolve of the Palestinians."
He called on foreign media to document the massacres committed by "Israel" in Gaza, considering the Israeli insistence on massacres as nothing more than a cover-up for its losses.
Al-Breim pointed out the Israeli occupation's fear of escalation at the northern front after a series of operations carried out by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon on Israeli sites, as well as Israeli vehicles and surveillance cameras at the Lebanese-Palestinian border area in light of Operation Al-Aqsa flood.

Just today, surveillance cameras were targeted at al-Jardah site in the town of al-Dhayrah and the Dhahr al-Jamal site opposite the town of Ramiya in South Lebanon, the Resistance's military media reported earlier on Monday.
The attack comes in light of mounting tensions in the Palestinian-Lebanese border area.
Soon thereafter, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that sounds of explosions were heard in the vicinity of the town of al-Dhayrah in South Lebanon and the settlements facing it.
"Israel" bombed the Lebanese town of al-Dhayrah, near the border with occupied Palestine, our correspondent said.
In retaliation, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah, announced that freedom fighters targeted the sites of "Misgav Am", Khirbat al-Manara, "Hormon", Birket Risha, and Ramiya.
"Our freedom fighters used appropriate weapons," the Resistance said, underlining that they could confirm the Israeli occupation's sites received direct hits and were damaged in the retaliatory strike.
Hezbollah later issued another statement, saying al-Dhayrah military site came under attack once again.
"Shortly before 6:00 pm today, Monday, a group from the Islamic Resistance, named after martyr Ali Kamel Mohsen, attacked the Israeli site of al-Dhahyrah and targeted a Merkava tank with guided missiles, achieving a direct hit," the statement read.
The border tensions have inflicted several casualties on the Israeli occupation.
On Sunday, the team commander of the 75th Battalion in the 7th Brigade, Lieutenant Amitai Granot, and soldier Daniel Rashed from the 13th Battalion of the Golani Brigade were killed in an attack by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon on their posts.
After the publication was approved by the Israeli occupation forces, it was revealed that Granot was the son of Tamir Granot, a prominent Rabbi in "Tel Aviv".
