PIJ vows resistance will continue strikes from all arenas
The Islamic Jihad Movement affirms that it will not remain passive in the face of Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Islamic Jihad movement affirmed on Sunday that the Resistance will continue its operations across various fronts and arenas, with a focus on Gaza and the West Bank.
In a statement, the Islamic Jihad Movement reassured the nation and the global community that "the Palestinian people's resistance is strong, at its peak, and will not allow the enemy to execute its plans."
The statement underscored the severity of the desecration of the sacred al-Aqsa Mosque by the occupation and settlers, alongside the imposed restrictions on Palestinians' access to the mosque. It deemed these actions a dangerous provocation and firmly declared their commitment to respond rather than passively observe.
Furthermore, the statement emphasized that during this sacred month, the people of Arab and Islamic nations hold more responsibility during the holy month. It stressed that achieving victory for the Palestinian people is a duty of equal importance to any other obligation.
The Israeli occupation forces enforced restrictions on Sunday evening, limiting entry for young individuals into the holy al-Aqsa Mosque for evening and Tarawih prayers. Only women and individuals over 40 were permitted entry, with passage hindered by checkpoints, just before the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.
The occupation forces banned numerous Palestinians from praying at al-Aqsa Mosque, blocking young individuals from entering through the Hittah and al-Qattanin gates for evening prayers.
Despite the occupation forces' entry restrictions at al-Aqsa Mosque, dozens of Palestinians managed to overcome the obstacles set by the occupation. They entered the mosque's courtyards to complete Tarawih prayers on the first night of Ramadan, as reported by Palestinian news sites on social media.
