Polish, extremist elements fighting on Zaporozhye front: Official
The deputy governor of Zaporozhye says the most intense battles are taking place from Pologi to Huliaipole, as well as just south of the Orekhov region.
Deputy Governor of the Zaporozhye Region, Vladimir Rogov, revealed on Tuesday that Polish mercenaries and members of the Ukrainian nationalist Kraken Regiment are fighting alongside the Kiev regime on the Zaporozhye front.
Rogov told Russia 24 channel that "the most intense battles are taking place from Pologi to Huliaipole, as well as just south of the Orekhov region, because the enemy forces are concentrated there, including the Polish units and the Kraken unit."
"These are the Nazis who were brought here from Kharkov," he indicated.
The Deputy Governor said the Ukrainian leadership put the Ukrainian conscripts on the first line of defense and as a barrier for mercenaries in these directions.
In the same context, a Russian military source in the Kherson Region confirmed to RIA Novosti that foreign mercenaries are fighting alongside the Ukrainian forces, including Polish women.
"There were a lot of mercenaries there. There were even Polish women among those mercenaries," the source said.
The city of Pologi is located in the liberated part of Zaporozhye province, while Huliaipole and Orekhov are still under the control of the Kiev regime.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Polish units are taking part in hostilities alongside Ukraine.
A few days ago, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, confirmed that Russia had prevented a Ukrainian attack on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that his regime had coordinated joint steps with Poland's President, Andrzej Duda, to confront Russia after the recent strikes on Ukraine.
