PRCS Gaza convoy to evacuate Al-Quds hospital turned back amid strikes
A week ago, the ICRC reported a similar incident when their convoy transporting aid was targeted by the IOF.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported on Monday that a convoy, which set out from southern Gaza heading north towards Al-Quds Hospital to evacuate individuals stranded there, was forced to return due to ongoing strikes.
"PRCS’ evacuation convey, accompanied by the ICRC [International Committee of the Red Cross] had to turn back after it left Khan Younis towards Al-Quds Hospital. It had to do so due to relentless bombardment and dangerous situation where the Hospital is located in Tel Al-Hawa," the statement on X read.
"The medical team, patients, and their families; remain besieged in the Hospital with no food, water, or electricity," the statement added.

This comes after heavy bombardment was reported in the vicinity of the hospital.
Hundreds of patients are currently at risk of suffocation due to the inhaling of dust particles emanating from IOF strikes.

Last week, on November 8, the ICRC reported a similar incident when their convoy transporting aid was targeted by the IOF.
"These are not conditions under which humanitarians can work & meet the urgent needs of the civilian population," ICRC Gaza spokesman William Schomburg said.

Gazans can't bury their dead
Earlier in the day, Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that several injured Palestinians, including women and children, had been brought to Al-Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis due to the Israeli occupation's shelling of a cemetery.
They further reported non-stop bombardment on the besieged hospital and highlighted that 39 premature infants face the risk of death in the hospital within 24 hours.
In further detail, Dr. Medhat Abbas, a director from the Gaza Ministry of Health, informed Al Mayadeen English that premature infants in the largest hospital in Gaza are being swaddled in foil and positioned near warm water as an urgent measure to ensure their survival, while Israeli airstrikes continue in bombarding the nearby streets.
With the last of the fuel reserves depleting, the facility is rendered incapable of operating, Dr. Abbas added.
Footage shared by the Gaza Ministry of Health revealed multiple premature babies, previously removed from their incubators at the hospital, now huddled together and placed in a single bed.
According to the doctor, a number of premature babies were killed in the past day in the intensive care unit and the nursery, as "Israel" persists in its ongoing bombardment and blockade of Gaza.
Staff at Shifa Hospital have shared this photo of their heroic attempts to keep the premature babies alive in an operating theatre after they were forced to shut down the NICU. Taken 6pm today.
