President Raisi led a government of hope, hard work: Sayyed Khamenei
Sayyed Ali Khamenei praised the late President Raisi's government, describing it as an embodiment of hope and hard work.
Iranian Leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei praised the outgoing administration of late President Ebrahim Raisi as the government of endeavor, hope, and hard work, during a meeting with members of the outgoing administration in Tehran on Sunday.
Sayyed Khamenei said, “Among the prominent features of Raisi’s administration was his proximity to the people, something which must be set as a role model for all authorities."
He noted that the late Iranian president, who tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash on May 19 along with his companions in Iran’s northwestern province of East Azarbaijan, was resolute in serving all segments of the nation and combating racketeering.
Sayyed Khamenei said that the late president held very firm beliefs in the potentials and capacities of Iranian experts, and was always blunt in expressing his religious and revolutionary positions, never making any ambiguous comments.
“Among the distinctive characteristics of martyr Raisi was his diligence and round-the-clock efforts,” he stated.
Raisi never felt disheartened
The Iranian Leader highlighted that the late Iranian president never felt disheartened by criticisms or fell into despair despite the challenges he faced, noting that the 63-year-old president was an outstanding figure in diplomatic interactions, bringing honor to both Iran and the Iranian nation through his administration's foreign policy.
He added that Raisi was hopeful about the future, aiming to achieve his goals with the cooperation of his cabinet members, and also praised Raisi for his unwavering support of the public and his commitment to prioritizing their demands.
“Martyr Raisi was extremely patient and forbearing. His characteristics can be utilized as a management model for the entire nation.”
Sayyed Khamenei also thanked the Iranian nation and state officials for running a smooth presidential election.
Yesterday, on Saturday, the Iranian Ministry of Interior announced the victory of candidate Masoud Pezeshkian in the Iranian presidential elections runoff, following the completion of vote counting in tens of thousands of polling stations across the country.
According to the official figures from the Ministry, Pezeshkian received 16,384,403 votes, compared to 13,538,179 votes for conservative candidate Saeed Jalili, thus becoming the ninth elected president of the Islamic Republic of Iran since the victory of the Islamic Revolution led by Imam Khomeini in 1979.
