Protest in Rome over Israeli-Italian military cooperation
A protest in Rome condemned the Italian complicity with the Israeli occupation and the ongoing military cooperation between the two parties.
A sit-in was organized on Saturday morning in front of the Leonardo company headquarters in the Italian capital, Rome, against the military cooperation between Italy and the Israeli occupation, and in solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in the occupation prisons.
This came at the invitation of the Palestinian Democratic Union, Palestinian Youth in Italy, and a number of Italian political committees and groups.
Dozens of demonstrators from the Arab community in Italy, as well as representatives of Italian political committees and groups, took part in the sit-in to support the Palestinian cause.
The protesters condemned the official Italian complicity with the Israeli occupation and the continuation of military cooperation between the two after Italy provided the occupation forces with training systems for the Air Force.

The sit-in comes after Italy recently signed a partnership agreement with Israeli company RADA, which is working on the development of radar systems for the occupation.
The protestors expressed their solidarity with the Captive Movement and with the prisoners who went on hunger strikes in the past weeks to reject the policy of administrative detention.
The demonstrators in Rome hailed the Palestinian Resistance, especially the steadfast resistance of Nablus and its people in light of the siege of the city and the aggression that led, during the past few days, to the martyrdom of a number of Resistance fighters and the city's residents.
