Putin signs decree to call reservist for training
Russian President Vladimir Putin signs a decree to call the reservist for military training in the Russian armed forces.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed Friday a decree calling Russian reservists for military training for the Russian Armed Forces.
"A call for all Russian citizens who are on the reserve list from 2022 to undergo military training in the Russian Armed Forces, the security apparatuses, and the Federal Security Services," the document published on the official Russian portal of legal information said.
"Additionally, the cabinet and the executive authorities of the Russian regions have been directed to ensure the implementation procedures related to calling on civilians to training camps and holding these training camps specified in the document," it added.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced Friday leader Vladimir Putin would supervise training for the Russian nuclear forces on Saturday, which will see them launching ballistic and cruise missiles.
The Russian Air Force, the Southern Military District, Strategic Purpose Rocketry Troops, the Black Sea Fleet, and the Northern Fleet will also participate in the drills.
This comes amid soaring tensions with the United States and its northern alliance over Ukraine, as they see that Moscow is planning on "invading" its western neighbor, which has been repeatedly dismissed by Kiev and the Kremlin.
