Qatar: "Israel" to be held responsible for murdering Abu Akleh
Qatar condemns the killing of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, stresses that what happened is a heinous crime and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, and stresses the need to hold the occupation accountable for this crime.
Al Jazeera network is calling on the international community to hold the Israeli occupation forces accountable for the deliberate murder of its reporter, Shireen Abu Akleh, with Qatar calling for an end to "Israeli terrorism."
Qatar condemned on Wednesday the assassination of Shireen Abu Akleh, a correspondent for Al Jazeera, at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces, in the northern West Bank.

In a statement by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministry condemned the assassination of the Israeli occupation forces, Shireen Abu Akleh, Al Jazeera's correspondent near Jenin refugee camp.
Israeli occupation forces are also responsible for shooting Al Jazeera producer Ali Samoudi, who was also covering the same event and is presently getting treatment.
The statement described the murder as "a heinous crime and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, a blatant attack on freedom of media and expression, and the right of peoples to obtain information."
Qatar called on the international community to take urgent action to prevent the occupation authorities from committing further violations of freedom of speech and to take all the necessary measures to stop violence against Palestinians and journalists.
It also stressed, "on the international community to condemn and hold the Israeli occupation forces accountable for their intentional targeting and killing of Shireen."
In turn, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar for Regional Affairs, Mohammed Al-Khulaifi, said that the occupation revealed the reality of its arbitrary practices in Palestine, "so it proceeded, without hesitation, to assassinate the prominent journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, in a heinous crime and an attack on media freedom."
On Twitter, he stressed the need for the international community to hold the occupation accountable for assassinating Abu Akleh.
Earlier, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Lulwa Al-Khater said, via Twitter, that the "Israeli occupation killed Al Jazeera journalist Sherine Abu Aqleh by shooting her in the face while wearing the Press vest and a helmet. She was covering their attack in Jenin refugee camp. This state-sponsored Israeli terrorism must STOP, unconditional support to Israel must END."

Al Jazeera condemns the murder of Abu Akleh
Today, on Wednesday, Al Jazeera network condemned the killing of its journalist, Shireen Abu Akleh, by the Israeli army, in Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.
The network said, in a statement, "Al Jazeera Media Network condemns this heinous crime, which intends to only prevent the media from conducting their duty. Al Jazeera holds the Israeli government and the occupation forces responsible for the killing of Shireen."
"It also calls on the international community to condemn and hold the Israeli occupation forces accountable for their intentional targeting and killing of Shireen."
Al Mayadeen network, through its CEO Mr. Ghassan Ben Jeddou, released a statement regarding the martyrdom of Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh at the hands of the Israeli occupation:
