Radwan Force could have taken Haifa, Tabarayya: Israeli Res. Maj Gen
A major general in the Israeli occupation forces' reserve underlines the weakness of the Israeli military in light of the paramount resistance it is facing on the northern and southern fronts.
Major General Yitzhak Brick, a reserve major general in the Israeli occupation forces, expressed apprehension about the military's operations in the northern Gaza Strip, as per Israeli media.
"Hamas is removing prisoners from areas supposed to be under the army's control in the north of Gaza," Brick said.
The Israeli occupation forces, he said, are "far from their goals in Gaza" and highlighted that Hamas "still has tens of thousands of fighters," while the IOF "needs rehabilitation after this war."
In a candid admission, Brick stated that the Israeli military lacks the capacity to "deal with multiple fronts simultaneously," pointing out that "today, air forces do not win wars, and the Israeli Air Force cannot stop a single missile."
Moreover, Brick drew attention to US President Joe Biden's position, saying he "does not want to see civilian casualties in southern Gaza." He warned that if leveling homes was prohibited, "Israeli soldiers would be entering without air and artillery support resulting in more casualties on our side."
Israeli media reported on Sunday that the Israeli captives who were released last night were held in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, the main theatre of the occupation army's ground invasion and focus of bombardment since the war was launched almost a month ago.
Earlier in the day, Israeli news outlets said the captives released by the Resistance on Saturday were transferred from Gaza City in the presence of residents of the city, pointing out that this means that they were detained where the Israeli army was operating.
Meanwhile, a senior security official in the Israeli army expressed concern regarding the areas in northern Gaza that the military has entered.

"Although the Israeli army has taken control of areas in the northern Gaza Strip, Hamas' presence remains strong, especially with an underground tunnel network that allows fighters to stay inside them for several months."
Commenting on the current situation in the Strip, Israeli media suggested then that "from a practical standpoint, the Israeli army is losing," adding that "there are ongoing problems facing the [Israeli] forces in Gaza during the truce."
Among these challenges was the inability to weaken the Palestinian Resistance despite the massive bombardment campaign, launched alongside a complete seige and blockade.
Following the truce announcment, Israeli media said on Monday anyone who mourned Hamas simply had to see this day; after 49 days of fighting, "Hamas has proven that it remains strong and in control of Gaza."
Radwan force capable of reaching Haifa
Brick, moreover, expressed astonishment at the lack of an immediate outbreak of war during recent confrontations between the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon and the Israeli occupation in the north.
Brick remarked, "It was a miracle that war did not erupt and the Radwan Force did not enter that day," he said of October 7, the day Operation al-Aqsa Flood kicked off.
He said the Radwan Force had the potential to enter Haifa and Tabarayya, as there was no defense on the northern front.
Simultaneously, he said, the Radwan Force could have targeted all infrastructure. "At that point, Israel would have ceased to exist."
Brick concluded by stating that "Israel" has not prepared for a regional war in the last 20 years. "When thousands of missiles from Yemen and Iran reached it, it did not have the ability to stop them."
