Ramallah protests Blinken's visit, US support of 'Israel'
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas triggers Palestinians to protest.
Blinken's visit to Palestine led Palestinians to protest against it today in Ramallah and reject the positions of the US in support of the aggression against Gaza.
The Palestinian youth who called for this protest showed a clear refusal of Blinken's visit and stressed that the US is a partner in the war of genocide that the occupation has been committing against the Gaza Strip for 3 months.
The Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas, rejected Blinken's statements in which he said that "the Palestinian Resistance is concentrated among civilians," stressing that his statements are far removed from reality.
The movement also stated, "We consider that Minister Blinken's attempts to justify the genocide committed by the terrorist occupation army against Palestinians are miserable attempts to wash the hands of the criminal occupation from the blood of children, women and elders of Gaza, exceeding more than 30,000 martyrs."
"This reflects the extent of American involvement in these crimes and the widespread violations of all international laws committed by the fascist zionist occupation forces in Gaza."
The visit
Antony Blinken, the US top diplomat, told Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas today that Washington supports "tangible steps" toward the creation of a Palestinian state.
Matthew Miller, State Department spokesperson stated that a Palestinian state must stand alongside "Israel" "with both living in peace and security."
Blinken mentioned in talks with Abbas in the occupied West Bank the "increased volatility" in the region, where hundreds of Palestinians have been killed in raids by the Israeli military or attacks by Jewish settlers.
The US Secretary of State also "underscored the United States' position that all Palestinian tax revenues collected by Israel should be consistently conveyed to the Palestinian Authority by prior agreements," Miller said. This is prompted by the fact that the occupation has withheld funds belonging to the PA since the beginning of the war on Gaza.
