Record number of drones launched at 'Israel' since Nov.: Israeli media
The Israeli Channel 12 says 61% of the drones launched toward “Israel” in November originated from Lebanon.
A record number of drones have been launched toward "Israel" since the beginning of November 2024, amid an ongoing multi-front war, the Israeli Channel 12 highlighted, noting that "in recent weeks, drone launches have become routine."
The channel reported that in the first 13 days of this month, there were 40 drone attacks, averaging 3.3 attacks per day. It added that “1,300 drones have been launched from all fronts" toward "Israel" since the end of October 2024.
Channel 12 compared the rising rate of attacks this month to those in previous months: in October, the average was 2.77 attacks per day; in September, as the front with Lebanon escalated, it was two attacks daily; while in August, the average was 1.77.
According to the media outlet, May marked a significant increase in the average number of drone attacks, reaching 2.8 per day.
The channel noted that 61% of the drones launched toward “Israel” this November originated from Lebanon, with a large number also coming from Yemen and Iraq.
200 drones hit targets in 'Israel'
In a related context, Channel 12 reported that since the beginning of the war, over 200 drones successfully penetrated air defenses and hit targets, confirming that these drones caused major losses and damage in recent months.
According to the channel, many drones penetrated more than 10 kilometers into Israeli depth, with some reaching over 40 kilometers.
Additionally, Channel 12 discussed the increase in alert activation within "Israel's" home front due to rocket and drone launches, noting that “over the past year, drones have dominated the battlefield and have posed a concern for the home front.”
The channel also recalled that about a month ago, four soldiers were killed in a drone strike launched from Lebanon at a Golani Brigade base in Binyamina, south of Haifa, with over 60 others injured.
It noted that a few days later, another drone launched directly struck the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Caesarea.
