Israeli occupation forces have admitted to a total of three deaths and 11 injuries among their troops, including six severely injured in one day of fighting in the Gaza Strip.

The announced toll relates to Tuesday's confrontations, which have been relatively less intense when compared to other recent days.

According to the Israeli Army Radio, in one round of confrontations, three soldiers from the Nahal Brigade's 50th Battalion were killed in an ambush executed by the Palestinian Resistance. In detail, Palestinian Resistance fighters launched a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) from a building in Rafah. This led Israeli infantry forces to investigate and rush into the building, hoping to take out fighters positioned in it.

As a result, a unit from the 50th Batallion entered the building, only to be met with a large explosion, which led the structure to collapse on them.

The ambush killed three soldiers and seriously injured three others, including a combat officer, while two others were moderately injured.

When traced back to operations announced by the Palestinian Resistance on Tuesday, the event matches an announcement made by al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military wing.

Moreover, the Israeli military spokesperson said that another soldier serving in the Yahalom Unit, a special operation force in the Israeli Combat Engineering Crops, was severely injured in the southern Gaza Strip.

In the northern Gaza Strip, an officer and a soldier in the 614th Battalion of the Combat Engineering Corps were also severely injured in confrontations.

As for today's toll, the spokesperson took the opportunity to announce that a soldier from the Israeli Multidimensional Unit, Unit 888, was severely injured in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Resistance has been engaging invading Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip since late October 27, 2023, eliminating at least 291 soldiers and officers during that time. Since October 7 last year, the Resistance eliminated 639 Israeli soldiers and officers, according to what the Israeli military command has announced.

It is worth noting that a large portion of casualties have been dealt severe injuries, leaving most disabled and unable to rejoin military ranks.
