Resistance factions target US occupation base in Syria: Sources
Al Mayadeen's sources say that the attack resulted in loud explosions within the base, causing alarm among the troops stationed there, who were put on high alert
Al Mayadeen Net sources reported that Resistance factions launched a drone attack on the Al-Omar oil field base, the largest US military occupation base in Syria, on Monday.
The sources indicated that loud sounds were heard emanating from within the international coalition base, prompting a heightened state of alert among the soldiers stationed there.
This comes shortly after a US occupation base in al-Tanf, an area on the Syrian-Jordanian-Iraqi tri-border, was attacked on Sunday night, according to Al Mayadeen's sources.
Concurrently, US occupation forces at the al-Omar oil field base, in Deir Ezzor, were also targeted. Al Mayadeen's correspondent also reported that a powerful explosion was heard in the area. US military helicopters were also seen flying over the area.
On October 22, a barrage of six rockets targeted the US occupation base at the Conoco gas field in Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria.
A field source told Al Mayadeen that four rockets successfully hit their targets inside the military base at the Conoco gas field in the countryside of Deir Ezzor. The source also confirmed that loud explosions were heard inside the US military base.
According to the source, the rockets primarily targeted the radar station within the Conoco gas field base.
Shortly after, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the US forces conducted strikes from the Conoco gas field, targeting the seven villages east of the Euphrates River, which are under the control of the Syrian government.
Our correspondent mentioned that the US strikes targeted the villages of Hatla, Marat, Khasham, and the outskirts of Huwaijat Saker and Huwaijat al-Muray'iya in the Deir Ezzor countryside.
