The Palestinian Resistance continues to defend against invading Israeli occupation forces, confronting them on multiple axes, despite "frenzied artillery shelling," Al Mayadeen's correspondent in the Gaza Strip reported.

Resistance fighters continue to engage occupation forces in the northern parts of the Gaza Strip, as the latter retreat in two key axes, which are Jabalia and Beit Hanoun, located to the north of Gaza City.

In the central Gaza Strip, south of Gaza City, Palestinian Resistance fighters fiercely confronted occupation forces, amid intense Israeli shelling of the area. The central Gaza Strip, which includes neighborhoods such as al-Bureij, had not seen direct confrontations until recently when occupation forces attempted to invade the district.

Up until this point, the occupation has not been able to advance into the central district, as its confrontations concentrated on its eastern outskirts, where Resistance fighters conducted key operations against armored Israeli vehicles and infantry forces on Monday.

One of these operations was conducted by Hamas' military wing, al-Qassam Brigades. The operation included the booby-trapping of a tunnel entrance to the east of al-Bureij refugee camp by sapper units of the Brigades. The faction's military media announced that eight Israeli soldiers were killed or injured as a result of the ambush.

Around 500 soldiers killed

The Palestinian Resistance's operations have killed 498 Israeli occupation soldiers and officers, according to numbers published by the Israeli military command.

Since the start of its invasion into the Gaza Strip on October 27, 164 Israeli troops have been killed, the occupation's military admitted.

In addition, the number of wounded in the ranks of the IOF has reached 2,066 since the start of the war on Gaza, including 874 injured during the period of the ground invasion. It is worth noting that investigations conducted by Israeli media outlets have shown that the number of injured is much higher and that military authorities are manipulating the toll by utilizing methods, such as omitting those treated in field hospitals from the final toll.

Numbers announced by the Palestinian Resistance, specifically al-Qassam Brigades, of confirmed kills on the battlefield, vastly outnumber the names of those announced dead by the Israeli occupation.

Nonetheless, the Resistance continues to ambush and crush invading forces, bringing to light the ingenuity of their fighters and the validity of their claims with every video published by the military media.
