Resistance marks end of Netanyahu’s dream: Hamdan to Al Mayadeen
Member of the Hamas movement, Osama Hamdan, confirms to Al Mayadeen that one of the most important results of Al-Aqsa Flood is that it stopped the US administration’s plans to shape the region and its future.
Member of the Hamas Movement, Osama Hamdan, confirmed in an interview with Al Mayadeen on Wednesday that "the resistance has shattered the dreams of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who remains delusional about implementing the ideological Zionist project."
He stated, “The American administration has never been a mediator or neutral, but has always been a partner of Israel, and one of the most important outcomes of the Al-Aqsa flood is that it stopped the US administration’s plans to shape the region and its future according to the interests of Washington and the occupation.”

Hamdan stressed that "The responsibility lies with the Americans and the Israelis," emphasizing that if they persist in perpetrating genocide, "we have no option but to continue our defense." He stressed the rejection of ongoing aggression, blockade, and starvation, advocating that addressing these issues should serve as the starting point for any resolution of the situation.
“We cannot accept the continuation of aggression, siege, and starvation, and these issues should be the beginning of any solution to what is happening.”
He added, "We do not wait for anyone to hand us victory, but rather we create it ourselves."
Hamdan highlighted that the occupation has hesitated thus far to initiate a military operation in Rafah, attributing this reluctance to the lack of tangible results from previous operations conducted in Gaza.
Hamdan refutes Israeli claims surrounding Sinwar
In response to Israeli media allegations suggesting that Yahya Sinwar, the head of the Hamas movement in Gaza, has relocated to Sinai, Egypt, and amid reports of internal disagreements within Hamas regarding his potential replacement, Hamdan dismissed these claims. He emphasized that while individuals hold significance, the resistance project remains inherently tied to the Palestinian people rather than any specific individual.
He further added, "The relations between the factions of the resistance axis have been forged through blood and sacrifices and cannot be undermined by false propaganda. The Palestinian resistance has placed its trust in the resistance axis and remains steadfast in the belief that this path will ultimately lead to liberation."
The Hamas official emphasized that the Knesset's adoption of Netanyahu's declaration rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state underscores the belief that resistance remains the sole avenue for the Palestinian people. He also highlighted that "there is pressure within the Israeli government to restrict worshippers at Al-Aqsa," emphasizing that such actions will have consequences.
