Rocket attack targets a Turkish military base in Iraqi Kurdistan

Iraqi sources on Wednesday evening reported that a Turkish base in the north of the country was targeted by a rocket.
A rocket was fired at a Turkish military base in the "Bamerne" area of the "Al-Amadiya" county of Duhok Governorate, according to local media in Iraqi Kurdistan.
No further details were immediately available.
On June 18, Al Mayadeen correspondent in Iraq reported that 6 Grad missiles targeted the Turkish army in the Zlikan military base, east of Mosul.
Iraqi Kurdistan Region's Directorate-General for Counter-Terrorism confirmed that the attack was carried out through a drone that launched missiles at the base, which resulted in human and material casualties.
On May 23, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Turkey will begin military operations at the country’s borders to establish 30 km deep buffer zones, adding that the final decision will be made soon.
In response, Iran said it opposes "any military action and the use of force on the territory of other countries in order to resolve disputes between them."
Moscow also urged Turkey to abandon plans for a military operation in northern Syria and will continue to do so, as per the Special Russian Presidential Representative for Syria Alexander Lavrentyev.
"A final decision on the operation has not been made yet and, therefore, we called on our Turkish partners and are urging them to refrain from such military actions on Syrian soil," the Russian envoy told the press conference, following the results of the 18th international Astana format meeting on Syria.
In a similar context, earlier today, the office of an Emirati oil company in the Khor Mor gas field in Iraqi Kurdistan was shelled.
A source in the local security agency said, as quoted by Sputnik, that "a rocket fell near the office of the UAE oil company Dana Gas in the province of Sulaymaniyah."
They reported "no material damage or injuries", an assessment confirmed by a security official who requested anonymity.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
