Rockets from Lebanon cause major fires, damage in North: Israeli media
Israeli Channel 12 says rocket and drone strikes on the North have been relentless, with a single rocket sometimes capable of paralyzing a third of "Israel."
70 to 80% of the rockets that have fallen in occupied Palestine have caused major fires, Israeli media highlighted, citing reports from firefighting authorities.
According to Israeli media, around 230,000 dunams of land in northern occupied Palestine have burned since the outbreak of the confrontations with Hezbollah.
Data shows that more than 175,000 dunams of natural areas have burned in the Upper al-Jalil and the occupied Syrian Golan region.
In the Lower al-Jalil, fires have ignited roughly 25,000 dunams of open areas and forests, while 9,000 dunams have burned in the Western al-Jalil and 722.8 dunams in the Hula Valley area.
Experts from the forestry department at the Keren Kayemeth organization told Israeli media that it will take between five to seven years to restore the damages.
Hezbollah drone strikes 'relentless'
In a related context, the Israeli Channel 12 noted that rocket and drone strikes on the North have been relentless, with a single rocket sometimes capable of paralyzing a third of "Israel."
Channel 12 also reported that 60% of residences in the Metulla settlement have been damaged by fires from Lebanon, with over 300 residences needing to be demolished and rebuilt due to more than 450 anti-tank rockets launched.
The Israeli media outlet added that there is extensive infrastructure damage in Metulla, with estimates suggesting it will take between two to four years to restore.
The head of the Margaliot council expressed his frustration to Channel 12, saying, "I have been out of my home for over a year and a month, which is a failure of the Israeli government, and our future is closely tied to southern Lebanon."
This comes as the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah continues to inflict significant losses on the Israeli occupation's military in both personnel and equipment across multiple fronts, stretching from the forward Southern Lebanese villages to Israeli positions deep within occupied Palestine.
