Russia claims control of DPR's Yantarnoye, Kharkov's Kalynove
The Russian Defense Ministry announces heavy losses in Ukrainian soldiers' lives.

Russian forces have taken control of Yantarnoye village in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Kalynove village in the Kharkov Region, according to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday.
"The units of the South [Yug] group of troops liberated the Yantarnoye settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic as a result of active offensive actions," the ministry announced. It also noted that the West (Zapad) group successfully "liberated the Kalynove settlement."
The ministry reported that Ukrainian armed forces suffered heavy losses, with up to 1,390 soldiers killed in 24 hours. Specifically, Kiev lost over 450 personnel in clashes with Russia’s Tsentr (Center) group, around 410 in battles with the West group, approximately 250 in engagements with the South group, and more than 190 in confrontations with the East (Vostok) group of forces.
The Russian Dnepr group eliminated over 60 Ukrainian soldiers, a field artillery cannon, and the Plastun radio-electronic reconnaissance station, according to the statement. Additionally, Russia's North (Sever) group inflicted losses of up to 30 Ukrainian troops in the Kharkov direction.
Furthermore, Russian forces targeted Ukrainian military airfield infrastructure, damaging manpower clusters and equipment across 139 locations, the ministry added.
Ukraine is dealing with heavy losses
In a related context, the Ukrainian armed forces have suffered over 350 casualties and lost a tank in the Kursk direction in 24 hours, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
"Over the past day, the Ukrainian armed forces lost more than 350 servicepeople, a tank, four infantry fighting vehicles, five armored personnel carriers, 12 armored combat vehicles, four vehicles, a US-made Paladin self-propelled artillery unit, seven mortars, an electronic warfare station, and an armored recovery vehicle were destroyed," the ministry reported.
The ministry also stated that Russia’s North (Sever) group successfully repelled five Ukrainian counterattacks in border areas of the Kursk Region. Since the start of the offensive in this direction, Ukraine has lost more than 51,200 soldiers and 297 tanks, the ministry added.
In a separate incident, a Ukrainian strike on the Karachevsky district in Russia’s Bryansk Region resulted in the death of a civilian woman and injured another, according to Governor Alexander Bogomaz.
"Unfortunately, a woman was killed due to the strike in the Karachevsky district," Bogomaz wrote on his Telegram channel, noting that the injured woman had been transported to a hospital for treatment.
