Russia informed Indonesia about intentions to join G20 Summit
The summit, which will include Russia and Ukraine, will discuss the economy and other important matters.
On Wednesday, Russia informed Indonesia about Russian President Vladimir Putin's intention to partake in the G20 Summit, according to the Russian foreign ministry.
"As for the November G20 summit, an official invitation from Indonesian President Joko Widodo addressed to the Russian leader was received. Jakarta was informed in advance of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin's intention to take part in it," the statement says.
It is noted that "the format of participation is subject to clarification depending on the development of the situation in the world and taking into account the sanitary and epidemiological situation in Southeast Asia."

By the end of April, Russia said will prepare for the G20 summit that will take place in the Indonesian province of Bali in November.
AFP reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had both been invited to the G20 summit.
