Russia MoD unveils tally of 33rd day of war in Ukraine
The spokesperson for Russia's Ministry of Defense unveils the tally for his country's special military operation in Ukraine so far.
Russian Defense Ministry Spokesperson Igor Konashenkov told reporters that Russia has so far destroyed 308 drones, 1713 armored vehicles, 170 launchers, 175 artillery cannons, and 1557 additional pieces of military equipment since the beginning of the special operation.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said on Monday that its forces targeted 36 Ukrainian facilities and downed five fighter aircraft and 19 drones in the past 24 hours.
It clarified in a statement that four Ukrainian Su-24 aircraft and one Su-27 aircraft were downed.
The statement pointed out that Russian forces downed five Ukrainian missiles launched by a BM-30 Smerch rocket launcher near Kherson Airport.
The Spokesperson also added that Russian forces ventured two kilometers deep into the defenses of the Ukraine armed forces' 95th brigade and arrived at the southern outskirts of Novosilovka in Donetsk. The LPR's forces also advanced five kilometers and took control of two towns, arriving at the borders with the Donetsk Republic.
The Russian Defense Ministry had stated on Saturday, that the Russian armed forces are fighting to liberate Novomikhailovka and Novobakhmutovka, targeting strongholds and reservists.
Earlier, Russia's armed forces announced the completion of the "first stage" of their mission in Ukraine, according to a statement made by a top Russian military commander.
