Russia MoD: 2 Ukrainian army units, mercenaries lost 150 soldiers

Russia has revealed that two Ukrainian army units, in addition to a group of mercenaries, have lost up to 150 men near Zaporozyhe nuclear power plant. 

"The Russian Aerospace Forces' high-precision weapons pounded the points of temporary deployment belonging to units of the 65th motorized infantry brigade, the 19th escort battalion, and foreign legion mercenaries," said Igor Konashenkov, Lieutenant-General and official representative in the Russian military.

Within a period of 24 hours, 2 units pertaining to the Ukrainian armed forces, in addition to a group of mercenaries, lost over 150 military personnel in the Zaporozhye region as a result of 'surgical strikes' from the Russian Aerospace Forces, according to Konashenkov. 

"The Russian Aerospace Forces' high-precision weapons pounded the points of temporary deployment belonging to units of the 65th motorized infantry brigade, the 19th escort battalion, and foreign legion mercenaries near the city of Zaporozhye. Ukraine’s armed forces suffered losses amounting to as many as 150 militants and 19 pieces of military equipment," he reported.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, speaking to reporters today, said Russia's special military operation is still in effect even after the partial mobilization announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday, Wednesday.

Russia, in addition, "wiped out" 3 M777 platoons in addition to one HIMARS platoon in Ukraine, according to the Russia ministry of defense.

Four depots of ammunition and weapons of Ukraine's armed forces have been destroyed in the area of the settlements of Monachinovka, Kharkov, and Poltavka, Olgovskye, from Zaporozhye. 

"Strikes by operational-tactical and army aviation, rocket forces, and artillery hit a battalion command post of Ukraine’s 1st tank brigade near the village of Vesyoloye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, three artillery platoons of US-made howitzers M777 in the areas of Velykaya Kostromka in the Dnipropetrovsk Region; Dneprovskoye and Yavkino in the Nikolayev Region; and a platoon of HIMARS multiple rocket launch systems near the settlement of Bereznegovatoye in the Nikolayev Region," Konashenkov said. 

The manpower and the military equipment of the 14th mechanized brigade of the armed forces of Ukraine in Gusinka, Kharkoc, in addition to the 46th airmobile brigade of the Ukrainian army in Belogorka, Kherson, and the 72 artillery units, manpower, and military equipment of the Ukrainian armed forces in 138 areas have been struck by the Russian military.
