Russia sanctions 30 UK PR experts: Foreign Ministry
Russia will continue to add UK nationals to the sanctions list, as per the Russian Foreign ministry.
In response to Western sanctions on Moscow imposed over the war in Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that Russia has sanctioned 30 British public relations professionals and members of the defense lobby.
In a statement, the Ministry said, "Over the ongoing unfriendly course of the British government … a decision was made to include 30 leaders of British structures responsible for the coordinated promotion of the anti-Russian information agenda, as well as representatives of the UK defense lobby, to Russia’s ‘stop list’ [travel ban list]."
Russia will continue to add UK nationals to the sanctions list, as per the Ministry.
The war in Ukraine led to an avalanche of sanctions against Russia, banning the country's athletes from participating in international sports events. Even paraplegic Russian athletes were not safe from the inundating sanctions, dubbed by many as "hysterical".
The United States has been leading a bid to sanction Russia over the situation in Ukraine, rolling out, alongside its allies, comprehensive sanctions.
It has been argued many times that the anti-Russian sanctions reflected a sentiment of Russophobia, as they have gone and affected literature, art, and all aspects of Russian culture.
