Russia to Supply Pantsir-S1 Systems to Myanmar In 2023
Russia will supply Myanmar with Pantsir-S1 air defense systems, as part of the agreement both had signed in January 2021.
The Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) Dmitry Shugaev told Sputnik on Monday that Russia will supply Pantsir-S1 air defense systems to Myanmar in 2023.
On the sidelines of the 2021 Dubai Airshow, Shugaev added that the "delivery [of two Pantsir-S1 air-defense systems] is tentatively expected in 2023".
The contract was signed early this year, in January.

Russia's new single-engine fifth-generation stealth fighter, the SU-75 also dubbed the "Checkmate" was showcased for the first time outside Russia at the 2021 Dubai Airshow, which will be held from November 14 to 18, according to a source in the Russian aircraft industry.
Russian State aerospace and military giant, Rostec, unveiled Russia's new fifth-generation fighter jet in July 2021.
The conglomerate's President, Sergei Chemezov, disclosed that the new fighter can be armed with guided and unguided weapons, can reach speeds of up to 2200 km/h, and has a flight range of 3000 km. He added that it would cost $25 million to $30 million, which is substantially lower than its foreign counterparts, whose prices range between $60-$90 million.
