Russian forces eliminate 11 terrorist bases in Deir Ezzor: MoD
The US reportedly committed a total of 12 violations of deconfliction protocols in the al-Tanf area.
Yurii Popov, the deputy head of the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria, said on Wednesday that the Russian air force has neutralized 11 identified terrorist bases in Syria that had previously vacated the Al-Tanf zone and sought cover in hard-to-reach mountainous areas in Deir Ez-Zor.
"Russian air strikes destroyed 11 bases of militants who left the Al-Tanf zone and were hiding in hard-to-reach areas of the Bichri mountain ranges in the Deir Ez-Zor province," Popov said in a statement.
The official added that the US-led coalition committed a total of 12 violations of deconfliction protocols in the Al-Tanf area throughout the day, including with three pairs of F-15 fighter jets and three pairs of A-10 Thunderbolt attack aircraft.
"With such actions, the 'coalition' continues to create dangerous prerequisites for aerial incidents and accidents, and aggravates the situation in Syria's airspace," he said.

Recent days have witnessed increased escalations in the occupied territories of Syria, particularly in light of heightened tensions that resulted from the war on Gaza.
On Monday, Syria's Ministry of Defense reported that the Syrian army targeted the headquarters and fortifications of armed groups in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, Palmyra, and Idlib.
In a statement published on its website, the Ministry stated that units of the Syrian army worked in collaboration with Russian forces to carry out over several days a series of precise top-tier operations using warplanes, drones, artillery fire, and missiles targeting headquarters, sites, and fortifications belonging to terrorist organizations, as well as warehouses of weapons, ammunition, and various vehicles in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, Palmyra, and Idlib.
The statement further mentioned that the headquarters and sites were completely destroyed, resulting in the killing and injury of dozens of terrorist militants, including affiliated leaders and foreign terrorists.
On April 6, the Syrian army repelled an attack by ISIS-affiliated terrorists on military posts in al-Raqqa suburbs, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
