The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that five people were martyred and ten others wounded in an initial toll following an Israeli airstrike on the Masnaa highway in eastern Lebanon.
The ministry also confirmed that a Lebanese civilian was killed in a separate Israeli airstrike on the town of Kafardan, located in the Baalbek district.

These latest attacks come just one day after the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that a 12-year-old boy was killed and his father was seriously injured on Wednesday evening after an Israeli airstrike directly targeted their home in the town of Touline, in southern Lebanon’s Marj'youn district.
Al Mayadeen’s correspondent confirmed that the strike hit the garage of the family’s residence, resulting in the immediate killing of the boy and causing severe injuries to his father. The attack adds to a growing list of Israeli strikes on civilian infrastructure and homes across southern Lebanon.
Israeli strike on Brital kills one; assaults continue in South Lebanon
A day earlier, one citizen was killed following an Israeli drone strike targeting a vehicle in the town of Brital, in eastern Lebanon, the Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed.
According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent, the attack was part of a broader escalation in the region, with an Israeli drone launching a raid involving three missiles along the Baalbek–Rayak international road, an area that had previously seen limited aerial aggression.
Meanwhile, in southern Lebanon, Israeli assaults also intensified. Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported that an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft detonated a drone that had crashed earlier on the outskirts of the town of Kfar Chouba. The incident raised concerns over the increasing use of drones and unmanned systems across both eastern and southern Lebanese territories.
