Russian forces intercept two combat drones that were heading to Moscow
No casualties were reported as a result of fallen debris.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said early on Wednesday that the Russian armed forces intercepted two combat drones that were heading toward Moscow.
They were both shot down using air defenses, the mayor noted.
"There was an attempt to fly two combat drones into the city. Both were shot down by air defenses. One near Domodedovo [town in the south of Moscow], and the other one near the [Moscow-] Minsk highway," Sobyanin said on Telegram.
Regarding possible casualties from falling debris, the mayor said there was no immediate information regarding this.
He did however say that emergency services were working at the site.

The Russian Defense Ministry later issued a statement saying that the "Kiev regime's attempt to carry out a terrorist attack by unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of the Moscow region has been foiled," while also pointing out that two drones have been eliminated by air defenses.
The statement further confirmed that there were no casualties or material damage at the site of fallen debris.

Russian armed forces thwart six Ukrainian attacks in Svatove, Krasnyi Lyman Directions
In related news, Russia's Center Group of Force intercepted six Ukrainian attacks in the Svatove and Krasnyi Lyman directions, the head of the group's press center, Alexander Savchuk, reported to Sputnik.
The official added that Ukrainian forces had lost some 60 soldiers in the process.
"Units of the Center Group of Forces, supported by artillery fire and air strikes, have thwarted and repulsed six attempted attacks by assault groups of the 21st and 42nd Mechanized Brigades and the 68th Jaeger Brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces during the active defense on the occupied lines. The enemy's losses amounted to about 60 soldiers," Savchuk said.
He added that Ukrainian forces also lost an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored vehicle, and two pickup trucks.
Moreover, two Ukrainian strongholds, a command and observation post, and two temporary military personnel hubs had been struck by Russian forces.
