Russian MoD: Over 80 mercenaries, Ukrainian nationalists killed
A roundup of the main developments on Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.
Russian defense ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said Monday that Russian troops attacked a training center for foreign mercenaries and Ukrainian nationalists in the Rivne region with precision-guided cruise missiles overnight.
"On the night of March 21, high-precision air-launched cruise missiles attacked a center for training foreign mercenaries and Ukrainian nationalist formations at the Nova Lyubomyrka combined-arms training ground in the Rivne region," he told reporters.
Furthermore, he went on to say that more than 80 mercenaries and Ukrainian nationalists were killed.
Tracking the Russian advance
Day 25 of the special military operation in Ukraine was marked by the destruction of 44 military facilities, including four weapon depots, over the past day, according to Konashenkov.
"Over the night, operational-tactical and army aviation hit 44 military facilities of Ukraine. Among them: four command posts, two installations of multiple launch rocket systems ... six Buk M-1 anti-aircraft missile systems, three Msta-B artillery pieces ... four warehouses of rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition, as well as 23 places of accumulation of military equipment," Konashenkov told reporters.
Over the specified time period, Russian Ka-52 and Mi-28N helicopters destroyed 15 armored vehicles in Ukraine, as well as an ammunition depot and the headquarters of a mechanized brigade near the village of Selets with high-precision air-launched cruise missiles, according to the official.
