The Ministry of Guidance and Pilgrimage in Sanaa has confirmed that authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia detained 1,124 Yemeni pilgrims who were scheduled to return to Sanaa Airport.
The ministry stated that Saudi authorities prevented the departure of the pilgrims' flights to Sanaa and redirected them to Aden Airport.
The ministry held Saudi authorities responsible for the safety of the pilgrims and any potential risks they may face due to being transferred to Aden, citing security instability in the occupied areas.
The ministry reminded that the agreement with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj stipulates that Yemeni pilgrims who departed through Sanaa International Airport should be returned to the same airport.
It is worth noting that the leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, has asserted that the Saudi authorities are not worthy of serving the Hajj. He added that there is a great role for Hajj and Umrah, and a fundamental role for the House of Allah, which the Saudi authorities are not competent to oversee and implement among Muslims.
Sayyed al-Houthi further stated that "politically, the Saudi regime is subject to the American will, ingratiates itself to the Israeli enemy, and allies with the enemies of Muslims."
