The Yemeni Ansar Allah movement's political bureau affirmed its support for the will of the Nigerien people, calling on neighboring countries to respect the national will of the West African country's people, Al-Masirah TV reported.
In a statement, the Ansar Allah political bureau expressed its rejection of any foreign military intervention against the interest of the Republic of Niger and its people aspiring for sovereignty and independence.
This comes days after the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) threatened military action to reverse last month's coup, which overthrew Western-backed President Mohamed Bazoum.
Niger's military leaders have warned against any intervention, accusing ECOWAS of preparing an occupying force in league with an unnamed foreign country.

On Sunday, the Minister of Information in the Sanaa government, Dhaifallah Al-Shami, expressed Sanaa's full solidarity with the Nigerien people in their uprising against the Wester-backed regime, which he accused of giving in to France and the United States and allowing them to interfere in the country's affairs and seize its wealth.
Al-Shami told state-run news agency SABA that Yemen supports the demands of the Nigerien people to liberate themselves from the guardianship of external powers and to establish a democratic system that respects the will of the people and the rule of law.
In the same context, the Yemeni Minister called for respecting the rights of the Arab and Islamic peoples to self-determination and preserving their wealth, pointing out that the Sanaa government shares the suffering of the Nigerien people, recalling that for six years, Yemen has been facing an aggressive war by the Saudi-Emirati coalition, with the support of Western countries.
Al-Shami called on all Islamic countries and peoples to show solidarity with the cause of the Nigerien people and stand by them in the face of the threats and pressures exerted on them.
Elsewhere, the Yemeni Minister demanded that there be a unified position by Islamic institutions and organizations to support the rights and interests of this Muslim country.
