Saree: Operation Desert Dawn liberated Al-Jawf Governorate
The Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson reveals details about the Fajer Al Sehra (Dawn of the Desert) that completely liberated the Al-Jawf Governorate.
Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced that operation Fajer Al Sehra (Desert Dawn) liberated a total area estimated at ​​more than 1,200 square kilometers.
Saree noted that the aim of the operation was to liberate Al-Jawf Governorate, specifically the Al-Yatama area.
He revealed that the operation inflicted the coalition with heavy losses including 35 deaths, took 45 prisoners, and damaged 15 vehicles, noting that the air defense units shot down a US-made ScanEagle spy plane during the Al-Yatama battle.
Saree underlined that the aggression is circulating lies with the aim of dividing Yemenis using sectarian slogans, stressing that the Al-Jawf tribes actively participated in the Fajer Al Sehra operation.
A few days ago, the Brigadier General confirmed that the Al-Jawf Governorate "was completely liberated except for some desert areas," and that the armed forces "will not hesitate to carry out further and special military operations in the coming period as part of their legitimate defense of Yemeni people and the nation."
