Saudi Arabian, Syrian Intelligence Chiefs Meet in Egypt
In a public meeting that is considered the first of its kind in the region, Saudi Arabian and Syrian Intelligence Chiefs Meet in Egypt on the sidelines of the Arab Intelligence Forum.
Syrian General Intelligence Directorate, Husam Muhammad Louka, met with the director of Saudi Arabia's General Intelligence Presidency Khalid al-Humaidan, on the sidelines of the Arab Intelligence Forum held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, which was launched on November 9th.
The Egyptian media described the public meeting that gathered the two officials as the first of its kind in the region.
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi delivered a speech during the forum that welcomed several heads of Arab intelligence services, where the participants discussed many issues in the region and the world.
It is noteworthy that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad received UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed, who arrived in the Syrian capital, Damascus, last Tuesday.
During the meeting, the two discussed "bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and the development of bilateral cooperation in various fields of common interest, in addition to intensifying the efforts to find new aspects for this cooperation, particularly in vital sectors to boost investment partnerships." Syrian news agency SANA reported.
