Saudi Arabia's embassy in Tehran resumes its work officially
Saudi Arabia has been operating its embassy in Iran since Sunday, however, no official announcement has been made on the matter.
The Saudi embassy in Iran resumed its operations in the country on Sunday, August 6, according to an Iranian official cited by Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
"The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Islamic Republic of Iran has officially resumed its activities in our country since Sunday," an official told IRNA on Wednesday.
On June 6, an Iranian source told Al Mayadeen that the Iranian embassy in Riyadh officially launched its work on Tuesday.
Iran reopened its embassy in Jeddah back on June 6 after a seven-year closure, reaffirming a Chinese-brokered rapprochement announced on March 10.
The mission returned under the leadership of Alireza Enayati, Iran's former ambassador to Kuwait.
On June 17, the Iranian Foreign Minister received his Saudi counterpart in Tehran where he promised that "the Iranian side will also reciprocally provide the necessary facilities for the Saudi Arabian diplomatic staff in the cities of Tehran and Mashhad."

The ceremony at the embassy was also attended by Ali Al Youssef, director of consular affairs at the Saudi Foreign Ministry.
Earlier this year on June 7, the embassy and consulate general of the Islamic Republic in Riyadh and Jeddah re-opened.
Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed to resume relations on March 10 after seven years of severed ties through China's mediation.
The two countries had their ties severed in 2016 following Saudi Arabia's execution of Sheikh Nimr Baqir Al-Nimr. The agreement to officially restore diplomatic ties was signed at a ceremony on April 6 in Beijing.
The two countries are scheduled to resume direct flights, allow mutual visits by top officials, and foster security collaboration. Since then both embassies have launched their work in each other's countries and Iranian-Saudi relations continue to develop after years of stagnation.
