Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, has called on the Muslim world to remain vigilant and not let the Palestinian cause fade from global consciousness, stressing the importance of resisting the Israeli regime’s continued acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip.
The Iranian Leader made the remarks during a meeting with a large gathering of workers from various parts of the country in the capital, Tehran, on Saturday.
“The biased policies that are being implemented in the world today against nations are aimed at making issues related to Palestine forgotten; Muslim nations should not allow this; they should not allow it to happen,” Sayyed Khamenei stated.
He asserted that rumors, various statements, and new issues that are irrelevant are being leveraged to distract minds from the issue of Palestine, something that should not be allowed to happen.
Highlighting the unwavering support of Western powers for “Israel” amid its brutal actions in Gaza, Sayyed Khamenei urged the international community to take a firm stand against the occupying regime and those backing it, stressing that the atrocities being committed by the Zionist entity in Gaza and Palestine are far too severe to ignore and demand a unified global response.
“They must stand against the Zionist regime itself, and they must stand against the supporters of the Zionist regime,” he emphasized.
He also underscored the complicity of the United States and its allies, including Britain, in the oppression of the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza, stating that despite occasional public remarks that may seem critical, these countries continue to offer direct support to “Israel” and its actions.
“The Americans, in the truest sense of the word, are providing support [to the Israeli regime]; now in the realm of politics, certain statements are made, and things are said that might lead people to think otherwise, but this is not the reality," he stated.
Sayyed Khamenei noted that the suffering people of Palestine, particularly those in Gaza, are not just resisting the Zionist regime but are also facing the direct opposition of powerful nations like the United States and Britain.
Gaza death toll nears 53,000
Gaza’s Health Ministry reported on Saturday that 23 Palestinians were killed and 124 others wounded over the past 24 hours due to continued Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Since the beginning of the Israeli assault on October 7, 2023, the total death toll has risen to 52,810, with 119,473 injuries recorded. According to updated figures, the death toll since March 18, 2025, alone stands at 2,701 martyrs and 7,432 injuries.
On Wednesday, the United Nations' human rights chief told AFP that "Israel's" plan to escalate its military offensive in the Gaza Strip marks a critical and perilous moment for the civilian population trapped in the conflict zone.
"What we see is only more destruction, more hatred, more dehumanisation," UNHCR chief Volker Turk said, noting that "It's a very dangerous moment for civilians."
He stressed the urgent need to end the war and demanded that "Israel's" blockade on Gaza "be lifted immediately."
