Sayyed Nasrallah, Islamic Group chief meet, discuss cooperation
The two leaders emphasize the importance of cooperation between Resistance forces in supporting the valiant Resistance in Gaza and its steadfast and honorable people.
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah discussed on Friday the latest political and security developments in Lebanon and the occupied Palestinian territories with the secretary general of the Islamic Group in Lebanon, Sheikh Mohammed Taqoush.
The two leaders emphasized the importance of cooperation between Resistance forces in supporting the valiant Resistance in Gaza and its steadfast and honorable people, as daily operations against the Israeli occupation military along the border with occupied Palestine continue amid relentless Israeli bombardment targeting Lebanese towns and villages.
It is noteworthy that since October 8, 2023, several fighters of the al-Fajr Forces, the military wing of the Islamic Group in Lebanon, were martyred through their participation in operations against Israeli military targets along the border with occupied Palestine.
The group had stressed in March that it would "continue to confront the Zionist enemy and support the Palestinian people."
In a previous interview for Al Mayadeen, Deputy Head of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Group in Lebanon, Bassam Hammoud, had underlined that "as long as this enemy occupies our land and attacks our villages, we will continue to confront it."
A day after the Israeli occupation launched its brutal war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, Hezbollah commenced its operations against Israeli military targets and soldiers in support of the Palestinian people in the Strip and their Resistance, linking halting their attacks to the end of the ongoing Israeli aggression.
