SDF Center: Turkiye strikes civilian convoy heading to Tishreen Dam
Turkish strikes on SDF continue with the latest targeting a car affiliated with the group.
The SDF Media Center announced today, Tuesday, that Turkish drones bombed a convoy of civilians from northern and eastern Syria as they were heading to Tishreen Dam to demand an end to the “Turkish attacks on the dam,” which is the main source of water and electricity for the people of the region.
The Turkish bombing resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian convoy, the center indicated.
The center confirmed that "Turkish warplanes bombed Tishreen Dam and its vicinity with several raids, coinciding with attacks carried out by mercenary factions affiliated with Turkey on villages north of Tishreen Dam and southeast of Manbij, where violent clashes are taking place between the Manbij Military Council forces and the mercenaries."
The SDF had previously thwarted attacks by the pro-Turkish National Army on the fronts of Tishreen Dam and Maskana in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, in the north of the country.
Earlier today, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Syria reported that a Turkish drone targeted an SDF vehicle in the countryside of Ayn al-Arab (Kobani) in the eastern countryside of Aleppo with an airstrike.
Our correspondent indicated that the vicinity of the Qarqozak Bridge, located south of the city of Ayn al-Arab (Kobani), came under Turkish artillery shelling, while the Turkey-affiliated National Army factions shelled SDF positions at the bridge with rockets.
