The Algerian parliament supports the decision to cut diplomatic relations with Morocco

According to Abou El Fadhel Baadji, Secretary-General of the "National Liberation Front", Algeria is leading the axis of resistance, rejecting any Israeli initiative throughout the Maghreb countries and the African region.

Baadji added that Algeria is directly being confronted by the Israeli scheme in the Maghreb and African region, confident that "Israel" is leading a proxy war against Algeria.

Furthermore, the top Algerian figure criticized Morroco, highlighting that it assumed a subversive role in the matter.

On its account, the Algerian Parliament described the state's decision to sever relations with Morocco as "wise, logical, and objective," emphasizing that it was a result of irresponsible accumulations from a regime that has not ceased carrying out aggressive acts targeting Algeria's security and stability.

The Parliament added that the Morrocan regime has reached the point of supporting terrorists and separatist puppet movements.

The decision, according to the Parliament, confirms Algeria's adherence to its fixed principles, particularly the right of peoples to self-determination and the restoration of their freedom, a principle that does not accept bargaining and is not subject to any pressure.

This comes as Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra announced his country's severance of diplomatic relations with Morocco, assuring that consular services would remain open for nationals of either side.

Lamamra explained that the Israeli foreign minister’s statement against Algeria is considered Morocco's most recent "hostile" action against Algeria. “Since 1948, no Israeli official made a hostile declaration to an Arab country from another Arab country,” he urged.

Today, the Arab Parliament called on Morocco and Algeria to allow brotherly ties between the two countries to prevail, stating that the ties between the two countries demand that they show restraint and avoid escalating tensions.
